Education

Become part of the Educational Committee by joining the Kaibigan Book Club or participating in Educational workshops.

This year we are reading “America is in the Heart” by Carlos Bulosan. The Book Club meets four times over the course of the term and discusses a part of the book at each meeting. Carlos Bulosan write about the Filipino-American immigrant experience during the early 20th century, from making the decision to leave the Philippines to come to America up to his death in the 1950’s. Books are limited, if you are interested in joining the Book Club contact Justin Katigbak, Kaibigan Educational Chair, through email katigbak@pdx.edu.
