Workshop Title: Mobilizing for Filipino Immigrant Rights w/ Dr. Chua of SJSU

You are invited to this free community workshop to engage in a critical dialogue about the worsening human rights violations in the Philippines and the U.S., and discuss strategies for mobilizing the community. (Refreshments Provided)

Guest Presenter: Peter Chua, Ph.D. is associate professor of sociology at San José State University. He published numerous studies on Third World inequalities and human rights, conducted first-hand research in the Philippines, Thailand, and India, and presented his work in South Africa, Australia, and the USA. He is current director of the National Bulosan Center and a member of Filipino Community Support of Silicon Valley, an organizational affiliate of the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns.
